Pamela Anderson was born in Canada on July 1, 1967, to a furnace repairman and waitress. Her parents tried to raise her, but she saw addiction and abuse at home from a young age.

Anderson was affected by her parents’ violent relationship. But Anderson also experienced other traumatic events.

In her memoir, Love, Pamela Anderson wrote about three incidents of abuse she suffered before she was 18. One was from a babysitter, one from an older man, and one from a boyfriend and his friends. She lost all trust in people. As she grew up, her experiences made her more suspicious of others.

In the first 18 years of her life, she changed Anderson’s view of men. When her boyfriend pushed her out of a car and tried to run her over, she realized that the people she was with often became violent. “As I got older, I realized most of my boyfriends were bad,” Anderson wrote in her memoir.

Anderson kept these things to herself. Since she couldn’t ask her parents for help, she turned to others.

Anderson found animals easier to trust and love than people, so she turned to them for comfort. From a young age, she became an animal rights activist.

This continued into her adult life, as her vegetarianism turned into veganism. Animals were her joy and meaning for the first two decades of her life. But something was about to change her life.

After high school, Anderson moved to Vancouver. One day, the Jumbotron camera landed on her at a football game, changing everything.

The crowd saw her beauty, but Labatt’s t-shirt made the real impact. Labatt asked her about the girl on the Jumbotron. She became their Blue Zone Girl and was flown to Los Angeles for a photoshoot. One photoshoot led to a career for Pamela. She soon found her way into the mansion.

Pamela Anderson was on the cover of Playboy Magazine in October 1989. Anderson moved to Los Angeles and was named Playmate of the Month in February of the following year.

Pamela Anderson met Mario Van Peebles in Vancouver on a movie set. In 1989, he asked her out to dinner, and they started dating. Though their relationship didn’t last long, she still considers him one of her two best boyfriends.

Anderson’s big break came in 1992 when she joined the cast of Baywatch. She played C.J. Parker for five seasons, making her one of the longest-serving cast members on the show.

In her career’s early days, Anderson met many famous people, and rockers always caught her eye. In 1993, Anderson started dating Bret Michaels of Poison.

In February 1995, Pamela Anderson met the Mötley Crüe drummer and fell in love. 

In June 1996, Pamela and Tommy had their first child, Brandon. In December 1997, their second son, Dylan Jagger, was born. For a while, everything was going well for their family.

In 1998, Tommy Lee was arrested for abusing his wife. Pamela Anderson was holding their seven-week-old son when Lee allegedly assaulted her, leaving her with bruises and a torn fingernail. He was jailed for six months, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Anderson met Marcus Schenkenberg in Monaco in 2000. She watched him save a bird from dying in a public restroom. 

1998, Anderson started a new show called V.I.P. on Sony Pictures Television. She played the main character, Vallery Irons, and the show ran for four seasons.

In 2020, Anderson married a friend from her past. After 30 years, Pam and Jon Peters reunited. This time, her age difference didn’t bother her as much as it had when she was 22.

In 2023, Pamela Anderson told her own story. With her sons’ help, Pamela released her story in a Netflix documentary called Pamela: A Love Story.
