In a recent interview, Nollywood actor and producer Femi Adebayo addressed the incident in which he slapped his father, Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, during the filming of Funke Akindele’s movie Taiwo Taiwo in 2008.

In a recent interview, Femi Adebayo clarified that the slap was unintentional and not part of the script. He then recounted the incident, noting that he promptly apologized to his father after the scene was completed.

Femi provides a detailed account of the incident in a video that has gained considerable attention on social media. “I ultimately resorted to physically assaulting my father in Funke Akindele’s film, ‘Taiwo Taiwo,’ while attempting to portray an aggressive thief.”

“The slap was not part of the script; it was an involuntary reaction to a situation that arose while filming a scene in which I played the role of an aggressive thief. The man in question refused to comply with the demands of the character I was portraying, and I was forced to defend myself.”

Furthermore, he disclosed his father’s response, stating, “Upon my request for a pardon following the scene, he asserted that I would have faced the consequences had I failed to strike him.”
