You must be careful when you see wild animals and know what could happen. But it looks like this lady didn’t get the message. Wild horses, for example, can be dangerous. They can get aggressive, and even though their hooves are made for galloping, they can easily trample anyone. Remember, these animals have never been domesticated and may misread your behavior. So, it’s always best to keep your distance.

The coast of Maryland and Virginia is one of the most beautiful places in the US. One place where you can see wild horses is Assateague Island, where many of them run around on the beach. The wild animals and beautiful views are great for tourists, but there are strict rules you need to follow to stay safe.

What was going through her mind when she tried to kick away a wild horse with a kids’ beach shovel? The wild horse did not find that funny. Imagine the woman saw a hungry horse eating her picnic, so she tried to scare it away. Instead, the woman learned a vital lesson about how to handle wild animals. Suddenly, the horse kicked her arm, sending her tumbling to the ground.

The woman was dazed for a few seconds, rolling in the sand, while two more miniature horses appeared out of nowhere to help their friend. This is why there are rules at Assateague Island to help protect visitors and horses: “Do not touch or otherwise bother the horses. Don’t feed them.” Warning signs all over the island warn tourists about the dangers of getting too close to a wild horse.

They even had to issue an official statement to remind people that getting too close to these horses is dangerous because they can easily kick, bite, and knock people over. If you respect their personal space, they will do their best not to get hurt by you.
