A group of Swiss International AirLines cabin crew members is in trouble. A video on social media shows them dancing on the wing of a Boeing 777 aircraft just before takeoff.

The New York Post says a passenger in the airport in Buenos Aires filmed it earlier this month. The video shows a woman on the plane’s wing, moving around and posing. She asks a man to join her, and he does the same. The video also shows ground crew members on the tarmac posing in front of the plane’s engine, a big no-no regarding safety rules.

The company’s management has strongly criticized the behavior in the video. Michael Pelzer, a Swiss International Air Lines spokesman, said that the wings of a Boeing 777 are about 5 meters from the ground, which makes the behavior even more dangerous. He also said that crew should only go on the wings of a plane in an emergency, like when the plane is being evacuated.

Other crew members, who did not give their names, said they were unhappy with how their colleagues had acted. They said what happened showed a lack of respect for safety and was unprofessional. Another member pointed out that the uniform stripes showed that a cabin chief was involved in the stunt, making the situation even worse.

In response, Swiss Air said they would take appropriate disciplinary actions against the crew members involved in the stunt, reinforcing the importance of maintaining strict safety protocols and professional conduct at all times. After all, in a business that is sensitive from a security POV, even the most lighthearted actions can have serious reputational consequences.
