The man was fishing in a pond when suddenly, the reptile came out of the water to make him its prey.

In Hilton Head Island, South Carolina (United States), a scene went around the world in the blink of an eye. What happened? An alligator came out of a pond and was caught chasing a fisherman. The reptile made a strong impression on those present.

Everything was recorded by Micah Kimberlin, a man who, as reported by Inside Edition in a viral video posted on YouTube, was riding a bicycle with his family in the area but stopped to look at the alligators swimming in the pond.

Because he took out his camera at the time, he managed to record how the fisherman in this story slowly moved away from the pond. That is where an alligator moved as fast as it could to make him its prey.

Fortunately, the fisherman was much faster than the reptile and managed to get away enough for the animal to decide to return to the water. People who were nearby were very shocked by what happened. All this can be seen in two viral videos Micah uploaded to Facebook.

The alligator is no longer in the pond.

It is also worth mentioning that Inside Edition, in its YouTube post, reported that the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources went to the scene to remove the animal from the pond and “make the park safer for people.” Several users applauded this action in the comments section and were very happy that the fisherman was saved from dying. Others, meanwhile, dared to say that they also survived reptile attacks.
