On 9 March 2020, the royals marked Commonwealth Day with a service at Westminster Abbey. There were several signs of tension between Prince William and Harry, but the lip reader’s comment made it clear.

During the service, Prince William and Catherine (the Duchess of Cambridge at the time) sat nearby. In contrast, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sat in the pews for their final public appearance as senior royals.

Finally turning to acknowledge his brother, all royal fans could make out was a short ‘Hello Harry’ from William, to which the younger prince replied: ‘Hello.’

With a smile, Meghan said ‘hi’ to her sister-in-law Catherine before smiling gently and saying ‘hello’ to William, who didn’t notice her at first.

A lip reader, Jeremy Freeman, told The Daily Star that Harry turned to his wife and said, ‘At least they acknowledged me, unlike last time.’

In his book Battle of the Brothers, royal expert Robert Lacey revealed that Prince William had tried to make Prince Harry feel better when they met recently, even though they did not seem to get along.

According to the author, Harry and Meghan were told they would not be allowed to participate in ‘The Procession of The Queen’ at the Commonwealth Day Service, which they had done the year before.

Only Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, Prince William, and the Duchess of Cambridge were set to take part. This was seen by all 2,000 congregation members at the Commonwealth Day Service, as it was printed in the Order of Service.

The prince was reportedly angry at being left out of this final appearance.

William and Catherine were worried about more trouble between the royals, so they tried to calm things down. They offered to sit with Harry and Meghan, who were upset, while they waited for the Queen, Charles and Camilla.

But this last-minute attempt to make peace was still insufficient to stop the feuding family’s tension. Body language expert Judi James said the reunion was not ‘exactly the warm welcome we hoped for.’

Ms James said that Harry’s body language made it clear that he was feeling tense. When Harry and Meghan arrived, they immediately held hands, but then Harry quickly put on his wedding ring. This is something he does to comfort himself.

‘Even when she was beside him after they had stopped holding hands, he was missing her, needing her support.

As Harry walked up the aisle to his seat, they waved at the children, but he looked pretty tense and did not smile.

During the service, Meghan smiled in the style of the Suits TV show.

But after the ceremony, when Catherine and William drove away, Ms. James said we saw a ‘different Harry altogether.’

She says he suddenly looked like a man reluctant to leave a party. He gave Joshua a thumbs-up over his shoulder, and Meghan touched Harry’s arm to show she was with him.

He looked like he was just trying to get back to being “Just Harry” with his wife and son.”
