Bruce Springsteen supported Jon Bon Jovi at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The iconic singer honored Bon Jovi’s career and charity work.
Springsteen, 74, attended the event just two days after the death of his mother, Adele Zerilli Springsteen, at the age of 98. The Bon Jovi frontman and the legendary singer performed together on stage at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event was held to honor the ‘Bed of Roses’ crooner for his successful career and charity work through the MusiCares Person of the Year award.
Bruce was introduced by Jon as his ‘mentor’ and ‘hero’ before they both hugged and quickly rocked out to one of Bon Jovi’s most memorable songs, ‘Who Says You Can’t Go Home.’ The ‘Dancing in the Dark’ artist wore a brown jacket over a black button-down top and black pants at the event. Jon wore an all-black outfit, including a blazer, button-down top, and pants.
Bruce was one of many celebrities who attended the event. Other attendees included Paul McCartney, Sammy Hagar, Jelly Roll, Shania Twain, Melissa Etheridge, Robert Kraft, and Jim Gaffigan. The event featured epic music, including a rendition of “Livin’ On A Prayer,” and plenty of laughs. Jim dressed up like Jon, wearing a massive head of hair, and playfully roasted him.
Jon’s event followed Bruce’s touching tribute to his mom, Adele, who passed away on January 31. Bruce posted a lovely video of her dancing to “In the Mood” by Glenn Miller, along with a bittersweet caption. The caption read, ‘Adele Springsteen – May 4, 1925-January 31, 2024.’ I remember waking to your alarm clock and watching you prepare for work. I could hear your makeup case on the sink and the skirts rustling as you and your colleagues walked to the office. You always looked proud and happy walking home from work.
He continued, ‘It’s not like a phone call on Sunday, flowers, or a Mother’s Day card.’ The text does not describe a house with a garden or yard on a hill. The speaker mentions having a hot rod on Bond Street and being easily recognizable despite aging. The text describes a desire to find a rock ‘n roll bar and dance. Bruce Springsteen, The Wish, signs the caption.
