Linda Robson and Pauline Quirke have been friends for over 50 years.

Linda revealed in a recent interview that Pauline left the show because she missed her family and never enjoyed performing in front of a live audience as she doubted herself. Pauline was eager to work at night, and her discomfort with performing in front of a live audience was well-known among the group. It’s unfortunate that someone as talented as Pauline doubts herself so much and becomes so nervous.

Linda told Mail+ that Pauline was reluctant to participate in the 2020 Birds of a Feather Christmas special. Linda told the outlet that Pauline said, ‘I don’t want to act anymore.’ Pauline clarified that it was not ‘Birds Of A Feather’ itself, but everything. She felt that she was done with it. Linda sympathized with her colleagues and acknowledged that rumors about their relationship would circulate.

During the interview, Linda denied having a feud with Pauline, her friend of over 50 years.

They first met at a North London primary school and have been pals ever since. Linda mentioned that they used to play games together in the streets after school and later joined a drama club during their teenage years. In the 1980s, Birds of a Feather became as famous as Only Fools and Horses, bringing in tens of millions of viewers with each episode. They reached their peak during this time.
