Sasha Obama grew up in the White House but now lives in Los Angeles. She’s 21 and studying in Michigan. She’s happy with her new living arrangement, which is made easier because her roommate is her sister, Malia. 

The young women both relocated to California and live in Brentwood near the USC campus where Sasha is a student. Malia moved to California in 2021 after receiving her degree from Harvard. Her younger sibling couldn’t wait to join her. 

Fans love Malia and her sister Sasha. In May 2021, the former President of the United States appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden and praised his daughters. He joked that they would end up as “weird kids.”

Michelle also talked about being an empty-nester with Ellen DeGeneres. She said she misses her children, but they’re doing well and have become amazing young women. She joked about their love lives and said they used to like pop bands, but now they have boyfriends and real lives.

Michelle is proud of her daughters and said, “I listened to what my mother said when she was raising us. She said, ‘I’m not raising babies; I’m raising real people to be out in the world.’ And I kept that in mind with the girls.” “They had to learn to be independent and responsible. I think they’re amazing young women because of that.”
