Garth Brooks’ divorce from Sandy Mahl was among the most expensive celebrity divorces. Brooks, one of the most popular country stars, has married Trisha Yearwood for 17 years. But Garth had been married once before to Sandy Mahl. When their marriage ended after 15 years, it was one of the most expensive celebrity divorces.

In 2000, after many happy years and three children together, Garth and Sandy divorced. 

They said they couldn’t get along anymore. Sandy later said that being apart because of his career hurt their relationship. 

“People always wanted his attention,” she said in the Garth Brooks documentary. The Road I’m On. 

“He’d be gone eight to 10 weeks at a time. He’d come home, and there would be parties, shows, CMAs, or ACMs. It was always going on. We grew apart fast.

“We hadn’t thought about how this would change our lives,” she added later.

Garth Brooks’ ex-wife, Sandy Mahl, has three children with him. When they divorced in 2001, she received $125 million. They shared custody of their daughters, Taylor, August, and Allie. 

Sandy helped Garth’s career. She was even in two of his first songs. They stayed friends after they divorced. Garth later said he didn’t know how hard it was for Sandy as he became famous.

“She was amazing,” he said. “I was gone so much on the road, I didn’t hear her until this biography. 

“It’s rare to hear the other side. I just saw her and hugged her harder than I ever have. I have just heard about her.

Garth is married to Trisha Yearwood. He said the same thing to Fox News. “I heard things from her that she told me our whole life, but I haven’t heard them until now. “I respect and love her more than ever for what she’s been through and how she’s handled it.”  

Garth married Trisha in 2005. They’ve stayed together despite the distance. “We plan our days so we can get back together as soon as possible,” the “Walkaway Joe” singer told Us Weekly.

Garth and Trisha met in 1987. and have been married for 17 years. Trisha said her husband is a great partner. “Even when I’m mad at him, he listens,” she told Uus. Even when I think he’s not listening, he is. He’s kind. “He’s very generous and thoughtful.”
