Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren’t the fairy tale prince and princess people expected. A 2022 poll found that most Brits dislike Harry and Markle. Markle is one of the most hated celebrities online. Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler, blasts the couple in the media. 

The Mirror says he was more than just Diana’s butler. He said he was Diana’s close friend and the only man she ever trusted. Diana’s mother, Frances Shand Kydd, didn’t believe him. She called him a “hanger-on grasping at Diana’s celebrity.” Harry and William agree. Harry said they felt Paul was too open about their mother’s things and gave too many interviews about her. He called him a “two-faced jerk.”

Burrell has been critical of the Royal Family, especially Harry and Meghan. Here are the times he’s criticized them publicly.

Burrell said Harry and Meghan’s friends are leaving them. In an interview with Closer, Burrell said the couple’s friends are going. “Harry and Meghan’s friends are leaving them.” “The A-list stars are leaving,” he said (via The U.S. Sun). “Some celebrities have left them.” Once the “It Couple,” they now seem the opposite. “Back then, A-listers were popular. “Harry and Meghan were the most popular couple in the country when they married, but there’s been a decline,” Burrell added.

He called Meghan a “predator.” In an interview with G.B. News, Burrell said this is why her friends are leaving her. “People think Meghan is using them,” he said. “Meghan is a predator. She uses people and leaves them. “She uses them and then leaves them.”

Burrell said this caused a rift between Prince Harry, Meghan, and David and Victoria Beckham. “The Beckhams don’t need Harry and Meghan.” They’re celebrities. “They don’t need Harry and Meghan,” Burrell said. “It’s sad that the Beckhams, Obamas, and Clooneys were at the wedding. What happened next? They’re learning who Harry and Meghan are. “They don’t want to be around them.”

It must be clarified if the Sussexes and the Beckhams are at odds. One source said they had a misunderstanding. It wasn’t because Markle took advantage of them. The Sussexes accused the Beckhams of leaking stories. David and Harry argued on the phone. “It’s unlikely they’ll make up,” the source told the Daily Mail.

He said Diana would be disappointed in Harry.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the U.K. for California, which caused a rift between them and the rest of the Royal Family. The couple is doing well in Montecito, where they run businesses and charities. But Paul Burrell says Diana would be disappointed by Harry’s choices.

In the Netflix documentary “Harry and Meghan,” Harry said Princess Diana wanted to live in the same place he does now. “This is where my mum was going to live,” he said. In 2003, Burrell confirmed this. “A lovely house…” I saw the plans. “It was going to be in Malibu,” he told GMA. 

He doesn’t think Meghan and Harry will last. He says Markle is predatory and will move on to the following big catch once she’s profited off Harry.

Burrell said they’ll split within ten years. He says everyone can see this coming except Harry. 

He thinks Harry will return to the U.K. ashamed.

Paul Burrell said Prince Harry knows about Meghan Markle’s evil intentions. In another G.B. News interview, Burrell said Harry might be seeing his wife for who she is. “Has Harry finally seen the truth?” “Has he seen the truth about his wife and that he’s been brainwashed by her beauty?” he asked.

Burrell says Harry and Meghan will split. If it happens, Harry will have to return to the U.K. to fix his relationship with his family. “He’ll return to the U.K. then.” “I think his father and brother will welcome him back,” Burrell said. The public still loves Harry.

Would Harry even consider that since he’s already in America? He might become an American citizen, hurting his chance of becoming king. “I’ve thought about it,” he said in February 2024. “I’ve thought about it, but it’s not a priority.”
