Singer Adam Lambert has been rocking a full beat since “American Idol.” If you’ve been following the rocker’s career, you know his signature look involves dark eyeliner, eye shadow, and arched eyebrows. But Lambert’s love of makeup started long before he was on TV. In an interview from 2010, he said he was already a pro by the time he debuted on American Idol in 2009. He started wearing makeup as a teenager. Lambert said he thought his look would make it harder for him to succeed.

He was wrong. Lambert has released many successful albums and singles, winning over fans of all ages. Give me an example. He sings lead for Queen, which Freddie Mercury previously fronted. It’s easy work! He’s also an influential voice in the LGBTQ community and a fashion icon. Lambert does his own makeup. He’s been doing this for years. He’s also been showing his fans his natural look.

Adam Lambert posted a new selfie on Facebook for Independence Day 2020. It was a change from his usual makeup-heavy look. Instead of his usual glam look, Lambert posted a fresh-faced selfie with the caption “Rawr.” He’s one of the celebs who look different without makeup, and this is good for him. Without makeup, it was easier to appreciate Lambert’s natural features, such as his striking eyes. Fans loved that Lambert was willing to experiment and liked his bare-faced look.

A few years later, Lambert showed off his natural face while announcing a tour. In a video on Instagram, Lambert showed up without makeup and sunglasses as he chatted with fans about his upcoming shows. He wore his hair in his signature style: short and spiky. His brown hair had blonde highlights.

Adam Lambert wears stage makeup most of the time but has also experimented with lighter looks. In 2012, the star told Stuff he wanted to wear less makeup. He also wears less makeup at home—almost none!

One example is an Instagram post from June 2022. The star posed from his couch with no makeup on in the post. Lambert wore a black-and-white outfit with a striped shirt and a black hat with black stars. Fans loved this look, too, and gave the rock star lots of compliments.
