The PAPERS reports that former Senator Shehu Sani, who represents Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, on Monday suggested that the former president’s visits to his hometown of Daura in Katsina State may be part of a larger strategy to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

According to sources within the People’s Democratic Party, the visit is politically motivated and is related to the 2027 election.

Buhari relinquished his authority to Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, who amassed 8,794,726 votes to defeat Abubakar, who garnered 6,984,520 votes.
