Amazing photos taken by trail cameras.
Trail Cams.
Trail cams are cameras placed in the countryside. They have special cameras kept in waterproof boxes. You can put these boxes anywhere to see animals that aren’t scared of people.
Often, it’s hours of staring at trees moving in the wind. But now and then, they can take some fantastic pictures.

Bad Location.
These baby bears had fun in the middle of the road.
Cams are also placed where animals cross the road, just in case there are accidents. This moment went viral on social media because the two cubs brought traffic to a standstill until their mum carried them away.

Myths and facts.
The best place to put these gadgets is anywhere many people will be walking past.
Someone thought it was funny to edit this image of a bear to make it look like something that would be on the front page of the National Enquirer.

Howl Party.
No humans are allowed at this party. Animals are howling at the moon or howling at each other. It’s wonderful.
Some models can record audio (which would be great in this case), but they won’t save as much video if the audio takes up space in the memory.

Hitchin’ A Ride.
It’s the new version of Timon and Pumba. Who knew a wild boar would be cool with a raccoon hitching a ride?
The other dog is looking for food in the background. Most people would want to see the rest of this clip!

Big Bird Syndrome.
There is “big dog syndrome”. But this image shows the idea in a whole new way.
What did the deer do to make the owl attack it? What was the funniest thing? This isn’t the best option for size exchange.

Winter Wonderland.
Trail cameras are perfect in winter. No one wants to sit outside in temperatures below zero for hours.
It’s also hard to move around in the extra quiet environment. This is how you can take amazing photos like this.

Just Strollin’.
“Don’t worry about me. I’m just walking by.” The jungle is another amazing place with lots of wildlife that can be hard to photograph.
The cam casings are robust. They can take a beating from some of the more curious visitors.

Gotcha!
This is the best. The “big dog syndrome” gold medal goes to the crazy squirrel.
For some unknown reason, it decided to attack this deer, which it hadn’t seen coming. It’s hard to say what will happen in the end.

Why The Highway?!
Baby bears aren’t the only animals that camp on the road. When it’s mating season, big bears don’t care where they end up in a fight.
The Department of Natural Resources and Protection has lots of wildlife footage from trails and highways.

Do you like it?
A big rack on a male deer might be attractive to other animals. But this guy may have gone too far.
But, looking at his prickly crown, it’s also suitable for protection. Smart cookie.
