An unusual scene on the Bogotá metro unexpectedly went viral on social media. Passengers noticed a group of young people in unusual attire and began filming the scene en masse with their phones.

The focus has been on therians – people who identify with certain animals and adopt corresponding appearances. The topic has been actively discussed online in recent days, and reports of these individuals’ appearance in Bogotá have provoked mixed reactions.

According to social media users, on February 19, several young people appeared at a metro station in the city center, wearing black clothing, animal masks, and artificial ears and tails. Some of them were wearing leashes, while others were holding similar accessories.

The unusual group immediately attracted the attention of those around them. Passengers took out their phones and filmed the scene, trying to figure out what exactly was going on. Soon, the videos appeared on social media and began to gain views rapidly. Users were divided. Some took the event with humor, calling it just another internet trend that had reached the Colombian capital. Others, on the contrary, declared that such performances were too strange and were beginning to transcend the bounds of a typical hobby.

The first reports of therians in Bogotá had appeared the day before. On February 18, a meeting of people interested in this subculture was held at the University of the Andes. Several young participants attended the event, but only two openly declared their affiliation with therians.

But the story took an unexpected turn.

After the video quickly spread online, it was revealed that one of the participants in the unusual performance was actually the comedian Culotauro. He claimed the event was part of a prank.

The comedian had previously published videos on this topic and admitted that he was humorously trying to draw attention to the popular internet trend and gauge reactions. Ultimately, the mysterious “Therian attack” on the Bogotá metro turned out to be far less serious than social media users initially believed. However, the video did spark heated discussions and once again made the topic of Therians one of the most discussed online.
