The thirty-six-year-old star, who was once known as Ellen Page and became transgender in 2020, said he was immediately attracted to Thirlby, now thirty-six.
Paige said he and Thirlby started having sex all the time, writing, “In her hotel room, in our trailers at work, once in a tiny secluded room in a restaurant.” They had sex everywhere they could.
Thirlby openly announced her bisexuality in 2011. She has been married to Jacques Pienaar since 2014.
The thirty-six-year-old Oscar-nominated star, known as Ellen Page and became transgender in 2020, said she was strongly attracted to Thirlby, who played Juno’s best friend Leah in the film. He discussed their relationship in a new memoir, “Tom Thumb Boy.”
He said: “I was shocked when I saw Olivia Thirlby. She seemed much older, more capable, and put together.
Sexually open, she was a far cry from where I was then. But the chemistry was palpable; it drew me in.”
He wrote, “It all started. I had an overarching desire for her; she made me want her in a new, hopeful way.”
He added that it was one of the first times someone had brought him to a real orgasm.
Paige said he and Thirlby began having sex “all the time,” writing, “In her hotel room, in our caravans at work, once in a tiny private room in a restaurant … We thought we were doing the delicate thing.” Intimacy with Olivia helped my shame dissipate.
Around the time Paige and Thirlby were set to star in “Juno,” they were to star in “Jack and Diane,” playing two young women who fall in love with each other, but they both backed out before filming began, and the cast changed repeatedly.
DailyMail.com reached out to Tirlby’s representatives for comment on the matter.
This comes after Elliot revealed that he had a secret relationship with Kate Mara after he declared himself gay in 2014 – and while she was dating Max Minghella.
The thirty-six-year-old Oscar-nominated “Juno” star details how he and forty-year-old Kate had an affair while filming “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and that Kate was “in love with two people.”
Kate and Max broke up in 2014 after four years of dating. She is now married to actor Jamie Bell, with whom she has two children.
In an excerpt from her memoir obtained by People, Paige writes, “The first person I fell in love with after my heart was broken was Kate Mara. She had a boyfriend at the time, the beautiful and talented Max Minghella.”
It was right after I became gay and a time of exploration and heartbreak. I think my relationship with Kate reflects a particular dynamic in that I constantly fell in love with people who didn’t reciprocate.
I’m sure our love and care for each other is extraordinary. Separate from the intimacy I write about.
Elliott said that Max supported Kate in exploring their relationship, which has been kept secret from the world, and said that Kate told him, “I never thought I could love two people, and now I know I can.”
The pair played a couple in “My Days of Mercy,” which premiered in 2017 and was released in 2019 – that film was made after their romance.
Elliott publicly declared himself transgender in December 2020 but revealed that he started “feeling like a boy” when he was nine.
In an excerpt published in People magazine, Elliot recalls finding himself in a gay bar a few months before his 2008 breakthrough film Juno premiered.
There he met a woman named Paula, who unwittingly helped him deal with the feeling of “shame” he was experiencing.
He wrote: “As I danced, sweat ran down my back and chest. I watched Paula’s hair twist and bounce as she moved effortlessly, chaotically but controlled, sensual, and strong.”
Was I catching her gaze on me, or was it the other way around?
Asked if he could kiss her, he continued: “And then I did. In a gay bar. In front of everyone around me. I was beginning to understand what all the poetry was about, what all the fuss was about.”
Before that, it was all cold, no emotion. Any woman I loved did not reciprocate, and the one who may have loved me wrong.
But here I was on the dance floor with a woman who wanted to kiss me.
Elliot also talked about how the bar helped him deal with his shame.
He wrote, “Shame has been embedded in my brain since I was a kid, and I struggled to rid my body of that old toxic and erosive marrow.”
Elliott was paid “about three million dollars” to write the 288-page novel, which Flatiron Books will publish on June 6.
The producer, who was twice nominated for an Emmy Award, became lesbian in 2014 while speaking at the Human Rights Campaign’s “Time to Thrive” conference in Las Vegas.
Elliot begins her nine-date international book tour on June 6 at The Town Hall in Midtown Manhattan, with future dates to be announced soon.
It’s unknown if Elliot is dating non-binary comedian Mae Martin after the pair got matching tattoos and dressed up for the 11th annual LACMA Art + Film Gala on Nov. 5.
After two years of marriage, Elliott’s divorce from Canadian dancer Emma Portner was finalized in 2021.
