The famous TV star bought her colonial-style mansion in 2009.
Whoopi Goldberg was conspicuously absent from “The View” this week after her colleague Joy Behar reported that she was rehabbing from a bad cold. While her many fans sent their best wishes, the famous host and actress is resting comfortably in her stunning $2.8 million New Jersey mansion, which she bought more than a decade ago.
According to Architectural Digest, The View host first moved into her home in the gated community of Llewellyn Park in 2009. Initially built in 1927, Whoopi’s colonial-style home has a rich history and boasts eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms – perfect for hosting guests.
Whoopi Goldberg’s New Jersey mansion, a short drive from New York City and the ABC Broadcasting Center, where The View is filmed, has allowed her much more personal time. In an interview with New York Magazine, she admitted that she felt “a little besieged” living in the city, and her business partner Tom Leonardis advised her to take a closer look at New Jersey.
Whoopi’s kitchen is done in an elegant creamy beige color scheme.
“I was living in the city and didn’t have the opportunity to sit outside,” the famous TV star said. “Because every time I went out to sit outside, fifty people would come and hang out there.” Apparently, after living in her gorgeous home for fourteen years, Whoopi has found what she was looking for for a great time.
Although the sixty-seven-year-old actress prefers not to draw attention to her personal life, she occasionally gives fans a glimpse of her luxurious home on her Instagram account. In particular, fans admire her kitchen, which boasts a beige and cream color scheme and expressive granite countertops.
The host showed fans her home office during a live stream on her Instagram page.
In October 2022, the TV star also participated in a live broadcast from her home office – and we love the decor! The mosaic-style artwork, dark mahogany furniture, and bouquets of red roses added bright colors to the atmospheric room.
