Jason Kelce, the beloved Philadelphia Eagles star, has a Super Bowl win and six Pro Bowls on his resume. He is currently in his 13th season in the NFL. However, after the 2022 season, he became just as well known for his tight-knit family.

In Super Bowl LVII, Jason played against his younger brother, Travis, a star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. They shared the spotlight with their mother, Donna. During the Big Game, Jason’s wife Kylie was 38 weeks pregnant with their third child. She famously had her OB-GYN with her in the stands. Kylie Kelce, the subject of a Prime Video documentary about her life, is from the Philadelphia suburb of Narberth.

The 31-year-old attended Cabrini University in Pennsylvania as a field hockey athlete. She met her future husband in college. Now a mother of three, she works with nonprofits, including the Eagles Autism Foundation.

The documentary reveals that they met through a dating app. Kylie and her friends came across Jason’s profile on Tinder. Although nothing in his profile mentioned Eagles football, he looked familiar to Kylie, a Philadelphia native. A Google image search confirmed that the person in the photos was Jason, but she thought it might be a catfish. When he invited her to a bar, her friend joked, ‘It’s either going to be him or it’s going to be someone pretending to be him. Hilarious either way.’

Kylie has since found a screenshot of Jason’s ‘ironic’ dating profile. It read, ‘I’m very in touch with my emotional side and love to cuddle. I’m not interested in a hookup. I’m only interested in intimate conversations and women who want babies.’

On the Kelce brothers’ podcast, New Heights, Kylie and Jason shared their differing perspectives on their first meeting. According to Kylie, Jason was so drunk that he fell asleep at the bar and had to be carried home by his teammate Beau Allen. On the other hand, Jason claims that Kylie was ‘the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen’ and that it was ‘love at first sight.’ Kylie rolled her eyes and accused Jason of being ‘so full of it.’

The following day, Jason asked if they could try again. Kylie noted that he did much better on their second date.

When did Jason and Kylie get married?

The marriage proposal was cringe-worthy, too. Jason and Kylie reported that they were in the car leaving her father’s house, but Jason needed to find a way to go back inside to talk to her dad about the engagement, so he told Kylie that he had to go to the bathroom. Kylie said, ‘This isn’t the most romantic way to do this,’ when he returned to the truck. She immediately started crying because she knew what was happening.

The two married at Logan Hotel in Philadelphia on April 14, 2018, and shared the special day with 170 friends and family, including their Irish Wolfhound Winnie. They followed up their wedding with a honeymoon in France.

Kylie and Jason have three daughters under the age of 4: Wyatt Elizabeth, Elliotte Ray, and Bennett Llewellyn. Additionally, they own two giant Irish Wolfhounds named Baloo and Winnie.

The Kelce documentary, now available on Prime Video, depicts Jason’s struggle with retirement after losing in the Super Bowl. Spoiler alert: the 35-year-old is back with the Eagles this year for his 13th season after signing a one-year contract for $14 million. In addition to football, Jason is interested in farming – he recently purchased 11 cows in Missouri – and real estate. Jason and Kylie are involved in Jason’s nonprofit, (Be)Philly, which supports the youth of Philadelphia.
