Andy and Jessica first saw each other in college.

It was love at first sight for the couple, and they wasted no time getting to know each other better. 

Despite living in the same city, they had never crossed paths before.

While still in college, Andy decided he was ready to marry Jessica. Andy and Jessica weren’t bothered by doubts about their age. Andy was a little concerned about his family’s reaction to the engagement. Since Andy came from a large family, his relatives’ opinions on matters such as love were critical to him.  So Andy organized a family barbecue so that everyone could meet Jessica. Upon meeting Jessica, his mom and dad, he looked stunned.

Jessica looked like one of Andy’s dad’s ex-girlfriends.

Taking the opportunity, his mom took her son aside and explained how she and her husband used to act. It turns out that the couple was caught off guard by the similarities between Jessica and Rose, one of Andy’s dad’s ex-girlfriends. Andy’s parents’ solution is to take a DNA test to verify Jessica’s paternity. Andy’s mom told him they needed to take a DNA test.

Luckily for Andy, she was sympathetic when he told Jessica about what his mom said. Like her partner, she thought it was a coincidence that she looked so much like Rose.

Andy’s mom took some of Jessica’s hair for analysis. For a few weeks, the couple forgot about all the drama.

For the next few weeks, he and Jessica made final preparations for their special day. 

The DNA test results identified Jessica’s father as Andy’s father.

This meant she had been conceived while she and Rose were still together. 

Andy’s father tracked down his son to break the news.

Since the DNA test results came back on Andy and Jessica’s wedding day, his parents couldn’t wait for the right time to break the news. 

When Andy explained everything to her, Jessica was stunned.

The bride struggled to come to terms with the big news.

Her parents revealed that Rose had been missing since before Jessica was born.

He told them about how he dated a woman named Rose before falling in love with Andy’s mom. Even though he was head over heels in love with her and wanted to start a family, she suddenly disappeared one day. No matter how hard he tried, he could never find her. Rose is gone.

Andy’s parents apologized for their act but admitted they did not regret anything.

The newlyweds had a lot to put up with that day, especially Jessica. Instead of a husband and in-laws, Jessica now had a half-brother and biological father.

Andy’s parents agreed to tell guests that the wedding was off.

The siblings went on an outing to unwind. Andy and Jessica decided to look on the bright side. Jessica finally got an answer to why she felt out of place.

Back at the chapel, Andy and Jessica were in much better spirits than when they left. Of course, it would take a long time to adjust to everything thoroughly, but they were ready to embrace this new journey together. As luck would have it, they were surrounded by friends and family prepared to give them endless support.
