A colossal snake, measuring 33 feet in length, has been unearthed on a construction site in northern Brazil.

Construction personnel discovered the colossal reptile, weighing an estimated 400 kilograms, after an explosion in a cave in Altamira, Pará.

Video footage captured by one of the workers depicts the snake’s colossal physique, which measures approximately one meter in diameter.

Video footage depicts the anaconda tethered to a crane, subsequently elevated to expose its yellow-spotted ventral surface.

Many users criticized the workers for chaining and killing the snake instead of allowing it to remain in its natural habitat.

Nevertheless, it remains uncertain whether the snake was killed or not.

One commentator wrote, “It is unclear whether this account is accurate, but if it is, the individuals responsible for killing the snake should be held accountable.” A snake of that magnitude will likely have existed for a considerable time. It is, therefore, questionable whether the taking of a few photographs justifies the killing of such a long-lived creature. It is a lamentable waste.

The current Guinness World Record for the longest snake in captivity is held by Medusa, a snake in Kansas City, US, which measures 25 ft 2 in.

The Belo Monte Dam is a hydroelectric dam complex currently under construction on the Xingu River.

It is anticipated that the Belo Monte Dam will become the fourth-largest dam installation in the world, trailing only the Three Gorges Dam in China.
