It still annoys people 30 years later.
Christmas is coming! It’s a great excuse to get cozy on the couch, tuck into some candy, and watch classic Christmas movies.
And Christmas is only complete with a re-run of Home Alone. Despite being released more than 30 years ago, families across the US and the world will be tuning in to watch this popular 1990s movie this December.
The comedy is a favorite, but fans still spot new mistakes yearly.
The plot follows Kevin McCallister, played by Macaulay Culkin, who is left home alone when his family goes to Paris for the holidays.
While the youngster is seen living out every kid’s dream, fans have pointed out one mistake in an iconic scene.

The trick is easy to spot. Kevin grabs some string between the bag handles and pulls it, breaking the plastic at the same time.
The milk and juice cartons also appear empty.
Fans on social media say the mistake is annoying. One person wrote, “I hate empty containers!” “Fill them up with water.”
Some fans noticed one detail that made them question how Kevin’s family could’ve forgotten to take him.

The night before the flight, Kevin argued with his brother, which resulted in milk being spilled all over the table and the plane tickets.
Kevin’s dad threw away one of the plane tickets when cleaning up. Viewers think this could be why the family miscounted Kevin.
