We all know how magical photography is, and we love to take pictures of our most happy and memorable moments. Isn’t that what cameras are for? We want to capture those most precious memories forever and have them on our walls or in photo albums.
However, for one Arizona family, the photo they took of a happy and precious moment was more than just a souvenir. It became a terrifying emergency that could have ended in tragedy.
The day Brooke was about to start seventh grade was big and exciting.
Her mum decided to take a photo of her before she headed off to begin her new school year.
But this photo would end up being far more than just an interesting comparison to previous shots—it would actually become a matter of life and death.
Everyone at Brooke’s school in Auburn, Arizona, was excited to see her on that first day of seventh grade.
So, when she didn’t show up, it was clear to everyone that she was missing.
Even though Brooke’s mother was terrified, she knew she couldn’t panic. After all, her daughter was in danger, and she had to stay calm and think quickly to get her out of there.
If Brooke had seen how afraid her mother really was, she might have panicked and done something silly, like touching the snake or making a sudden movement.
So, she told her daughter to walk towards her.
Luckily, she did what her mother said. Without panicking or touching the snake, she quickly went over to her mother and got away from it.
It was then that they both turned around, looked at the snake properly, and began screaming in terror.
They ran back inside the house as quickly as possible.
As Brooke and her mother tried to recover from the shock and fear of coming face-to-face with such a terrifying snake, the truth was even scarier than they realized.
The snake on the tree was a rattlesnake, and it was very close to Brooke.
Can you imagine how scared Brooke and her mum must have been now? They had barely avoided being killed by a rattlesnake, and now they didn’t know where it was!
When they stopped being so shocked, she realized the photo was perfect.
She decided to share the photo on her Instagram page.
Although she arrived at school significantly later than anyone had imagined, Brooke headed off to start seventh grade. We can only imagine the hero’s welcome she received when she finally stepped through those school gates.
What an incredible and inspiring story! We can only imagine how scary and dramatic it must have been for Brooke and her mother to go through such a dangerous experience without realizing it immediately.
Now that the danger has gone, Brooke and everyone can finally see how amazing and beautiful this photo is.
Rattlesnakes are not inherently dangerous, but they are naturally hazardous creatures.
Now, Brooke can look at the photo and remember the beauty of the creature she came close to.
