The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s chances of securing a second term in 2027 could only be significantly challenged by the involvement of three specific Nigerians — not by Peter Obi alone.
In a statement released on Sunday through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, and made available to journalists, Primate Ayodele stressed that while former presidential candidate Peter Obi remains a notable political figure, he lacks the capacity, on his own, to derail Tinubu’s re-election plans.
“Peter Obi alone cannot weaken President Tinubu’s ambition. Obi alone cannot be president of the country,” the cleric stated. “The coalition hasn’t yet found the right individuals capable of undermining President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.”
Primate Ayodele, known for his politically charged prophecies, claimed that only three unnamed individuals have the political weight to seriously challenge Tinubu’s hold on power — especially if they align with the right coalition. Though he withheld their identities, he vowed to reveal their names in due course.
According to Ayodele, President Tinubu has so far outperformed his predecessor, former President Muhammadu Buhari, and has the potential to achieve more if re-elected. However, he warned that the emergence of these three powerful figures in the political arena could alter the course of the 2027 elections.
“Tinubu has worked more than Buhari, and he will do better for his second term if Nigerians allow him to win,” Ayodele noted. “But the involvement of three certain people will weaken his victory.”
The prophet also cautioned Tinubu to be strategic with his political appointments, particularly in the northern region, where he believes betrayal could pose a major threat to his aspirations.
“Tinubu must work on the north very well so that he won’t be betrayed by those whom he believes,” Ayodele advised. “If he doesn’t put the right people in some positions, his victory will be truncated.” The cleric concluded by stating that the 2027 election will be markedly different from previous ones, and Tinubu’s success will hinge on his actions in the coming months — and the potential rise of these three influential individuals.
