The Princess of Wales shared a funny detail about her youngest son, seven-year-old Prince Louis. It turns out the boy has developed an unusual hobby – he hides chestnuts everywhere.

Kate and Prince William are raising three children: 12-year-old George, 10-year-old Charlotte, and Louis. During a meeting with scouts at Frogmore Gardens on September 18, which she attended with US First Lady Melania Trump, Kate mentioned her son’s new hobby.

She said Louis is passionate about collecting chestnuts – the fruits of the horse chestnut tree, which fall from trees in the fall. “We find them everywhere: in cupboards, in his bed… chestnuts everywhere!” the Princess admitted with a smile. She added that the boy even loads them into his toy trucks to play with. In Britain, chestnuts were traditionally used in the children’s game “conkers,” where two nuts are slammed against each other until one cracks. Although this game is gradually losing popularity, children still enjoy collecting the fruit, and Louis was no exception.

During their visit, Kate and Melania interacted with children from the “Squirrels” program within the Scout movement. Chief Scout Dwayne Fields noted that the Princess was eager to share personal stories. “She talked about her children and how they loved to collect chestnuts during their walks. This helped her connect with the young people and show herself not only as a princess but also as a caring mother,” he said.

According to Fields, Kate always finds a way to mention her children in conversations with the young Scouts, which makes her interactions particularly sincere and warm.
