During the Miss Universe 2025 preliminary events, an unexpected incident occurred that shocked the audience and went viral on social media. Jamaican representative Gabrielle Henry lost her balance and fell from the podium during the parade held on the 19th in Nonthaburi, Thailand.

Witnesses report that the incident happened in a split second. Numerous photos and videos circulating online show the contestant taking a step toward the edge of the stage before suddenly falling. Another video captures the moment when pageant staff carefully lift Henry onto a stretcher and carry her backstage.

The situation shocked the audience—the hall fell silent for a moment, after which many rushed to express their support for the model on social media. Some users noted that the fall appeared quite severe, so the news about the contestant’s condition that emerged later was a relief.

According to pageant owner Raul Rochi Cantu, Gabrielle Henri was quickly taken to a local hospital, where she received the necessary medical attention. “I just left the hospital, where she is undergoing examination. Fortunately, there are no serious injuries, no fractures were found, and she is being cared for by the best specialists,” he reassured fans.

Interestingly, this wasn’t the only dangerous moment of the evening. During the national costume show, Miss Great Britain also slipped and fell but quickly got up and continued performing. International media reports suggest that the slippery stage surface may have been a factor in both incidents.

Following two similar incidents, the organizers promised to conduct a thorough inspection of the stage conditions, strengthen security, and, if necessary, revise the show rules to prevent similar situations in the future.
