Robert Irwin, son of famous Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, shocked his followers with his latest TikTok video.

Steve Irwin was an Australian naturalist, actor, television journalist, broadcaster, and wildlife expert. He gained worldwide fame thanks to his work on the TV series Crocodile Hunter. He died on September 4, 2006, on the set of the TV show Ocean’s Deadliest, having received a fatal blow from a stingray to the heart. Steve Irwin was, and still is, Australia’s national treasure.

His son, 20-year-old Robert Irwin, continues his work by working at the family’s Australian zoo with his mother Terry, and sister Bindi. At the same time, as the boy himself admits, he clearly understands all the risks associated with working with predatory animals.

However, a video of his encounter with a crocodile in February of 2022 shocked many.

People were shocked by the level of “cruelty” displayed by Robert.

In the video, the son of the “crocodile hunter” came to feed Casper the crocodile, one of the most aggressive reptiles at the zoo in Queensland. Irwin walked over to the edge of the pool, where Casper was swimming with his food, and teased the crocodile. The animal climbed onto the land and rushed after Robert, almost biting him. Thankfully, neither Robert nor Casper were hurt in the process!

Robert then posted the video to Instagram, where he captioned it: “The finale of ‘Crikey! It’s the Irwins’ is on now, 8 pm in the USA so go check it out!”

He noted that “the best” was saved for last, including one of the most dangerous feedings for crocodiles. According to Robert, he deliberately provokes crocodiles so that they can follow their predatory instincts.

After the post’s publication, many criticized Robert for his actions, saying that he “uses animals for entertainment.”

On the Today show, Robert responded to these comments and emphasized that people are exaggerating. “It’s an adrenaline rush for me, it’s an exciting experience, but personally, I feel closest to my father when I work with the animals he loved.”

At just 20 years old, Robert has millions of social media followers and over 19 million likes on his videos.

And he certainly gets a lot of positive comments when he mentions his dad.

However, some fans note that it is not always appropriate to mention his dad under every post…
