Celine Dion’s personal life has once again become a topic of interest. This is due to her recent health issues and unexpected appearance at the 2024 Grammys. As fans know, the singer is a mother to three boys from her marriage to late music composer René Angélil. In 2001, she gave birth to her son René-Charles after struggling to conceive for several years. In 2010, she had twins named Nelson and Eddy (after Nelson Mandela and Eddy Marnay) after experiencing a devastating miscarriage the previous year.

Since her husband’s death from throat cancer in 2016, Celine has been candid about the challenges of raising three children as a single mother. In an interview with Extra, she said, ‘I still have my power; my husband gave me so many tools for the rest of my life.’ She praised her sons, calling them remarkable and stating that they are helping her while she is helping them.   She mentioned that they cope well with the loss of their father. Nowadays, Celine’s children are grown up and remain the center of her world. Her firstborn, René-Charles, is a musician and has already followed in her footsteps. Celine expressed her pride in her son’s debut EP, ‘Casino.5,’ and was touched that one of his passions is also hers. Celine Dion’s twin sons, Nelson and Eddy, have officially entered their teenage years.

The ‘I’m Alive’ singer made a rare public appearance with her children at a hockey game in Las Vegas in November 2023 amid her ongoing struggle with an autoimmune condition known as stiff-person syndrome. On her Instagram page, Dion shared photos of herself with René-Charles and twins Nelson and Eddy during the family outing. This marked her first outing since revealing her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis in 2022. Dion wrote in the caption that she and her boys had a fun time visiting with the Montreal Canadiens after their hockey game with the Vegas Golden Knights in Las Vegas on Monday night. She also praised the teams for playing so well.

Nelson and Eddy appeared almost unrecognizable in the photos, standing opposite their mother in mismatched athletic wear. Both children had long hair, which they pulled back into a low ponytail and facial hair. Dion thanked them for meeting after the game, saying it was memorable for everyone, and wished them a great season. Fans were delighted to see Dion, but many also noticed how much her twin sons had grown. One follower wrote, ‘Look at the size of these kids,’ while another said, ‘Oh my goodness, I didn’t even recognize Nelson and [Eddy]! They’re huge. Wow, I feel old.’

Celine Dion is relying on her sons during her health struggles.

She gave birth to her twin sons, Nelson and Eddy Angélil, what feels like yesterday. The ‘All By Myself’ singer now has two teenagers and one adult son. Although she doesn’t frequently share photos of her children, she has expressed her love for them on social media. In 2019, Celine Dion wrote a heartfelt Instagram post to celebrate her twins’ ninth birthday. She shared photos of the kids and wrote, ‘Double the laughter and love. Happy 9th Birthday, Nelson and Eddy!’ Dion expressed her pride in her boys and ended the post with, ‘I love you!’

The following year, she posted another touching tribute to mark their birthday. Celine Dion wrote a message to her twins, Nelson and Eddy, expressing how much joy, love, and laughter they have brought into her life over the past ten years. She also mentioned that they make her, their big brother, and their late father proud. Despite battling stiff-person syndrome, Dion is finding support in her children, according to a source close to her who spoke with Us Weekly in 2022. “The twins are mature for their age. René-Charles checks in on his mom frequently and shows her affection,” said the insider.
