Ben Shephard is leaving Good Morning Britain after a decade on the show.

Following the departure of Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby last year, he will now be a full-time host on This Morning alongside Cat Deeley.

Ben began his TV career 1998 on Channel 4, hosting The Bigger Breakfast. He later joined ITV in 2004, where he presented The Xtra Factor.

From 2000 until 2010, he presented on GMTV. Between 2005 and 2011, he was a stand-in presenter on This Morning.

In 2014, he joined the new breakfast program GMB, hosting the show with Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway.

He has also hosted Tipping Point since 2012. What do we know about Ben’s private life?

Ben and Annie Perks married on March 24, 2004, on a private island off the coast of Devon. They had been dating for almost a decade.

They met while studying at the University of Birmingham, where Annie was the Head of the Philosophy & Epistemology Society and studied Philosophy.

Afterward, she wrote for fashion and interior magazines such as House and Garden, Glamour, Elle Deco, Elle, and Red. Currently, she runs her own business, The House Editor.

According to her website, she has spent the last 15 years raising her sons, renovating houses, creating gardens, and managing interior design projects.

She currently helps people create personalized and stylish interiors and gardens.

She resides in Richmond, South West London, with her husband and two sons, Sam (18) and Jack (16).

Ben attended Chigwell School in Essex and earned a BA honors degree in Dance, Drama, and Theatre Arts from the University of Birmingham.

He originally wanted to pursue acting but was later encouraged by a producer to become a television presenter.

In a recent interview, Ben joked about using his connections to advance in the industry.

Why is Ben Shephard leaving GMB?

Ben shared the news of his new role and expressed his excitement about being part of This Morning’s next chapter.

He feels honored to join Alison, Dermot, and the team that works on and off-screen.

Soon after, he posted on social media that ten years had flown by at GMB. He wrote in his caption that he had loved every minute, except for those immediately after the alarm went off at 3:30 a.m.

He also expressed gratitude for the amazing women he has worked with, laughed with, and occasionally drank with.

He will miss working with them and the whole team. He is grateful that they are just next door, so whenever he gets nostalgic, he knows they aren’t too far away.

This week, she emphasized that leaving GMB was a challenging decision. However, joining This Morning presented an exciting opportunity.
