According to royal expert Valentine Low, Kensington Palace felt compelled to announce Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis due to the overwhelming number of conspiracy theories.

Low, the author of ‘Courtiers: Intrigue, Ambition, and the Power Players Behind the House of Windsor,’ suggested that the announcement may have been hastened by the ‘lunacy’ that followed Princess Diana’s abdominal surgery in January.

In an exclusive interview, Low told Page Six that the palace likely felt pressure to make the announcement. In the end, they had to say something.

A statement on Instagram confirmed that the surgery was successful. Middleton, 42, is expected to remain in the hospital for ten to fourteen days before returning home to continue her recovery. The statement added that she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.

Middleton expressed her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible.

Middleton and Prince William, 41, share three children. The conspiracy theories surrounding Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have been put to rest.

The theories were fueled by a clumsily Photoshopped family image released on Mother’s Day in the UK.

However, the princess appeared in a video and shared her cancer diagnosis, which ended the rumors.

The princess said that the news was a huge shock and that she needed time to recover from major surgery before starting her treatment.

She also mentioned that explaining everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis appropriately took time and reassured them that she would be okay.

She told them she is getting stronger daily by focusing on things that will help her heal in her mind, body, and spirit.

Middleton has had to discuss her health publicly before.

The palace announced that she had hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, while pregnant with George and Charlotte.

Low explained that Kate is determined to protect her privacy, but the couple likely felt obligated to share the information eventually.

He noted that the individuals probably believed they could not continue to remain silent. It is not possible to keep doing that.

He also mentioned that many people feel chastened this weekend and feel bad about themselves, as they should.
