Royal families must have good style. You’re not just a public figure but a style icon and a role model. Meghan Markle’s most daring looks since leaving the royal family have made an impression.

This horse wasn’t a winner at Royal Ascot.

Anyone who follows the British royal family calendar knows that Royal Ascot is one of the year’s most meaningful events. The racehorse competition invites jockeys to compete for trophies and prize money in different races. It’s also a big fashion event for the royals. Catherine, Princess of Wales, wore amazing outfits to the event. Princess Diana also wore great outfits. Meghan Markle hasn’t been able to reach that level. She first went to the event in 2018 with Prince Harry. This is the only time she’s gone. While many attendees wear colorful clothes, Meghan wore a white button-down shirtdress with a black belt. The long-sleeved dress felt matronly, especially with the black and white hat and clutch. The handkerchief hemline was uninteresting.

Meghan Markle’s navy outfit underwhelmed at Trooping the Colour. The celebration is an over-the-top display that Brits love, mainly because it honors the monarch’s birthday. Trooping the Colour fashion has been important for decades, with all eyes on the best-dressed royals. In 2019, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were still senior working royals, so they appeared at the ceremony in their finest.

Meghan wore a navy blue dress by Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller. The high neckline and angular sleeves made her shoulders look broad. She also wore navy leather gloves. At first glance, they looked like disposable gloves.

It was a disappointing choice for a day celebrating color. Other members of the family have chosen bright colors to commemorate the day. Meghan wore dull colors as a working royal to avoid upstaging other female royals.

Meghan Markle’s strange Platinum Jubilee look

After Meghan Markle and Prince Harry suddenly left the UK, many thought they would never return to a royal event. They stepped down from their duties, but they’re still connected to the House of Windsor. Meghan has always praised Queen Elizabeth II. She even named her second child Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor after her. Meghan returned to the UK in 2022 to take part in a service of thanksgiving for the Platinum Jubilee.

Meghan was happy on the day, but her outfit could have been better. Meghan wore a Dior trench coat with an oversized collar and three-quarter sleeves that appeared tight. The coat dress was belted at the waist, and she wore a wide-brimmed Dior hat. The hat was worn at a jaunty angle to accommodate Meghan’s low bun, but when viewed from a certain angle, Meghan’s hair wasn’t visible, creating a peculiar effect.

Her gray dress didn’t go over well.

In 2018, people remembered the best moments from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. People were still determining what would happen in the next few years or how much the royal family would change. In the early days of their marriage, Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, were busy with official duties and visits. They visited Ireland, where they met the locals and Ireland’s leaders. Meghan had some style wins on the trip, including a stunning black suit. She also had some losses, including this grey dress.

The Roland Mouret dress was calf-length and had a ruffle on the skirt. Even with the asymmetrical hem, it lacked a wow factor. Meghan wore the wrong type of bra under the outfit. The Duchess wore a strapless bra that didn’t match the dress, making her look like she had the wrong bra.

Meghan Markle’s purple dress didn’t work. Tailoring is essential, even with a shift dress. Meghan Markle can do it well, but only sometimes. in 2019, Meghan wore a purple dress to the One Young World Summit. The color looks good on her, but the shape is not flattering. The long-sleeved, ankle-length dress wasn’t expensive and was on sale for as little as $50. It was very nearly a hit. The rich purple hue was anything but drab, and the Duchess was glowing. However, if the dress had been altered to fit Meghan’s figure, it would have been perfect. Unfortunately, the silhouette was too shapeless.
