SNL cast member Chloe Fineman is rolling her eyes at Elon Musk’s criticism of the show. She says Musk was the host who made cast members cry.
Fineman’s co-star Bowen Yang said over the summer that an unnamed host made multiple cast members cry because he hated their ideas. On Monday, Fineman posted a now-deleted TikTok. She identified Musk as the host who trashed Dana Carvey’s impression of him and said the show has “been dying slowly for years.”
Fineman said on TikTok that Musk is “watching the show.” She added, “I’m the cast member he made me cry.” He made someone cry. I saw some articles and was like, “I’m not gonna say anything.” I said no. If you’re rude on your platform, people will notice.
Fineman said Musk made her cry after she stayed up all night writing a sketch for him. “I was excited. I asked if you had any questions. You stared at me like you were firing me from Tesla and said, ‘It’s not funny.'” Musk started going through my script, saying, “I didn’t laugh.” “I didn’t laugh once,” Fineman recalled.
“Behave,” the comedian said. Fineman wrote a sketch for The Ooli Show, seen below.
In the post-election episode of SNL, cast members jokingly pandered to Donald Trump following his election victory. Carvey, who had been imitating Biden, started imitating Musk, one of Trump’s most vocal supporters.
“See you in the White House,” Carvey’s Musk said, imitating the billionaire’s excited appearance at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
