Kate Middleton Heartbroken Over Decision About Prince George

Kate Middleton is experiencing distress due to a decision she and Prince William will make regarding Prince George's future. The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 42 years of age, are engaged in deliberations regarding the educational institution to which they will send their eldest child upon his departure from preparatory school. In an interview with the outlet, royal expert Katie Nicholl stated that Middleton favors the 11-year-old attending a co-educational school in England, citing his desire to be in the same educational environment as his siblings. However, her husband has a different set of preferences. Nicholl stated that Middleton prefers that George attend a co-educational school so that he can be with his siblings. Middleton attended Marlborough College from 1996 to 2000. "It was a happy school for her, but William has positive memories of Eton, which has a long history with the aristocracy and royal family," Nicholl explained. Nicholl states that William desires George to attend Eton, the renowned all-boys boarding school where he and his brother Harry received their education. George is enthusiastic about attending his father's school, whereas Middleton is melancholy and believes the institution to be excessively formal. However, Nicholl indicated that George may pursue an education at a different institution than his father. Prince William did not attend the same boarding school as his father, King Charles III, who was educated at Gordonstoun in Scotland. "Traditions can evolve and adapt," Nicholl informed the Mirror. "William and Harry did not attend Gordonstoun in Scotland, and George may be sent to an alternative institution." Furthermore, she stated that William and Kate will decide with George's best interests in mind. George is currently enrolled at Lambrook, a co-educational school situated in the Berkshire countryside. He attends classes alongside his siblings, Princess Charlotte (age 9) and Prince Louis (age 6). He and his siblings have expressed positive sentiments about their experience at Lambrook. The environment provides stability, particularly given Middleton's current cancer treatment. Nicholl told the Mirror that when Kate was in the hospital, George was playing football with his friends. "Maintaining the family unit was of paramount importance." The school provides the children with a robust support system and an opportunity to experience a typical childhood. In September, she disclosed that she had been rendered cancer-free.
