On Monday, the 66-year-old singer shared photos on Instagram of her six children and her dad from their Thanksgiving celebration.

Madonna, her kids, and her dad were outside and inside a farmhouse where they spent the holiday.

The Grammy winner also posted a photo with her boyfriend, Jamaican soccer player Akeem Morris, 28.

“We are born into families and create our own,” Madonna wrote. “I’m increasingly grateful for the lessons these little worlds teach me daily.”

The music legend also mentioned her late stepmother and brother.

“My family has lost many people this year,” she wrote. “My father has been strong.”

“Watching him cry at Christopher’s funeral – right after he lost his wife. “I’ll never forget that moment,” she said.

Madonna said, “Time with my family on Thanksgiving was healing.”

Joan died in September at 81 from cancer. She married Madonna’s father in 1966 when she was 8.

Two weeks after Joan died, Christopher died of cancer at 63.

Christopher was the art director on Madonna’s 1990 Blond Ambition World Tour and the tour director for the 1993 Girlie Show. The siblings fell out, as Christopher wrote about in his 2008 New York Times best-seller.

Christopher said Madonna outed him in her 1991 interview with the Advocate. He also said Madonna’s ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, is homophobic.

Madonna paid tribute to her brother after he died in October.

Madonna said her brother Christopher had died. “He was my closest friend.” It’s hard to explain our bond. “We knew we were different and that society would judge us for not following the status quo.”

“I tried to keep him alive as long as I could. “He was in a lot of pain at the end,” she added. We held hands, closed our eyes, and danced. Together.

Madonna has lost other family members. Her mum died when she was 5.

Her brother Anthony died in February 2023. He died at 66 from lung failure and throat cancer.
