Your own pool in the yard is the perfect place to relax and have fun on hot days. However, along with comfort, it can also hide dangers that many do not even think about. Sometimes, just one moment is enough for an ordinary day to turn into a real nightmare.

This is exactly what happened to a family from Mesa, Arizona. One day, they heard a loud splash in the yard. At first, it seemed strange because all family members were in the house. Without wasting time, they ran outside, not even imagining what awaited them.

The picture they saw shocked everyone. Their beloved horse, named Stormy, ended up in the pool. The animal, weighing more than 450 kilograms, accidentally fell into the water and began to panic. Although the pool was shallow, the horse could not get out on its own and, out of fear, only put itself in even greater danger.

Stormy was not just a pet – he was raised from a young age and became a real member of the family. Therefore, seeing him in such a state was extremely painful. The family immediately called the rescuers, realizing that he would not be able to cope on his own.

Firefighters and a veterinarian arrived at the scene quickly. The situation was critical: the horse was very nervous, thrashing around in the water, and this could have ended in tragedy. To avoid the worst, the veterinarian decided to use a sedative.

After the animal was calmed down, the rescuers began a complex operation. Using belts, blankets, and ropes, they carefully secured Stormy to pull him out of the water. Due to the lack of special equipment, everything had to be done by hand.

It was not easy: the horse was heavy and helpless after the sedative. The team worked as carefully as possible to avoid harming the animal. After about 20 minutes of hard work, they managed to pull Stormy to the edge of the pool.

After that, he was pulled away from the water to avoid further danger. The veterinarian examined the horse and, fortunately, found only minor injuries. The animal’s life was not in danger.

When Stormy regained consciousness and was able to get to his feet, the family’s joy knew no bounds. They sincerely thanked the rescuers for their quick response and professionalism.

After this incident, the owners concluded that they would install a fence around the pool and monitor the animal more carefully. This story became an important lesson for them that even ordinary things can be dangerous.

Fortunately, everything ended well. Stormy made a full recovery and continued to live happily with his family. And this incident reminded them for a long time how important it is to be careful even in their own backyard.
