The Real Reason Blake Shelton Quit The Voice

Blake Shelton is changing his focus for two reasons - his stepsons and his love for gardening. The country star, who married Gwen Stefani in 2021, shared with People that gardening has become a passion for the couple. It's not just about plants but also bonding with her sons. "We go all out," Shelton said, disclosing that they've cultivated many gardens with flowers like zinnias and sunflowers. However, their attempt at growing Icelandic lilies could have been more successful. We spend a lot of money on plants, which isn't very comfortable. Gardening is something we enjoy doing together, aside from listening to music. Shelton, a coach on "The Voice" since 2011, announced that the upcoming season will be his last. He's been thinking about it for a while, but now that he has a new family, he said he has more to live for beyond himself and his career. "It's been tough for me to move on," Shelton told People. "I've been with 'The Voice' since the very beginning. I started as a country artist ten years before joining the show, but it wasn't until then that I hit it big. The show did wonders for me, and I've achieved more than I ever imagined possible in the entertainment industry." He told People that he and Stefani have traveled and worked a lot in the first half of their lives, and now they want to relax by wearing sweatpants and watching "Ozark" at 6 p.m. He also enjoys being a stepparent to Stefani's three sons: Kingston, 16, Zuma, 14, and Apollo, 8. Stefani shares them with Gavin Rossdale, the lead singer of Bush. If Shelton doesn't take a break from his career now, he said he knows he's risking missing out on more important things in life. Leaving "The Voice" doesn't mean he's giving up on TV completely. He and Carson Daly have a fresh game show called "Armageddon" airing on USA Network.
