Abdulmumuni Abiola, one of the sons of the June 12, 1993, presidential election winner, the late Bashorun Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, has stated that he will never forgive his elder brother, Kola.
He asserts that Kola refused to disburse the inheritance to the father’s other children despite having conducted blood tests to confirm their paternity.
Abdulmumuni stated that Abiola bequeathed £650,000 to his first four wives, yet Kola purportedly withheld their funds.
The subject of this discussion is as follows: On Saturday, in an episode of the “Mic On Podcast,” hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, Abdulmumuni made the following statement: “Let me provide some context on that matter.
“Blood tests were conducted to ascertain the legitimacy of the children in question, resulting in the compilation of a definitive list of qualifying offspring.
“A review of the will reveals a meticulous and systematic approach. It names the wives and allocates funds to them in a clearly defined manner.”
“I would like to provide some additional information on that topic.”
“My mother was the second recipient (Kudirat Olayinka Abiola).
“It is believed that she was apportioned £150,000.”
At the time, Kola was aware that my mother had passed away before my father. Consequently, under British law, he could not release the £150,000 to us.
Additionally, he stated that his mother had also passed away, and thus, he was not entitled to the £300,000 that was intended for her.
“However, you are the one who is distributing the funds, which seems somewhat unusual…”
“If he had desired, he could have provided us with the funds.
Furthermore, my mother’s apartment in the UK was not included in the distribution of assets.
Before we knew the situation, Kola had sold the property without disclosing it to my siblings or me.
“It is evident that a systematic effort was made to impoverish the family on my mother’s side.” Family Vacation Packages
“Therefore, I cannot forgive him (Kola) for his actions.”
