A video purporting to show an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) has been viewed over 23 million times and shared thousands of times since it was uploaded on Monday during the solar eclipse in Texas. The video depicts a mysterious shadow that intensifies after the partial eclipse and a UFO that rushes before dissipating into the clouds.
The video was posted by Matt Wallace, a former X/Twitter user, at approximately 3 a.m. on April 9 and was accompanied by the following caption: A new video has emerged of the unidentified flying object (UFO) observed over Arlington, Texas, during today’s solar eclipse. The footage has prompted a strong reaction from viewers, who have expressed concern about the object’s apparent disappearance into the clouds.
While there is considerable speculation regarding the object’s origin, one user posited that the shadow in the clouds could be a plane flying at a higher altitude. Other users employed humor to address the situation, referencing the possibility of extraterrestrial contact and the government.
On Monday, August 8, a total solar eclipse occurred in North America. The phenomenon initially manifested in Mexico and traversed the United States, passing through Dallas, Texas, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Buffalo before reaching the northwest corner of Canada. As reported by NASA, approximately 32 million individuals reside where the Moon will completely obscure the Sun, with over 150 million people situated near this region.
Experts in astronomy have predicted that the next solar eclipse will occur in 2024. However, it is unlikely to be total. A partial annular solar eclipse will be observable in Brazil on October 2, 2024. During this event, the Moon will obstruct only a portion of the Sun’s light.
