The Coast Guard didn’t know this odd blue boat would lead to a nightmare when they found it. The blue boat wasn’t picked up on the radar, and they couldn’t stop what happened when they entered the ship.
During a routine inspection, the blue ship was spotted three miles off the coast. The crew almost missed it.
However, as their boat approached, the squad soon saw that the floating craft was much bigger than they had thought.
The ship looked strange.
The boat was not picked up on radar. It was a mystery boat.
The crew called out to the person operating the boat to learn more. “Hey?” This is the Coastal Guard.
But no one answered.
The team also threw a rope with a hook at the end toward the blue boat, but that didn’t go according to plan.
The object didn’t move. They were pulled forward in their boat. “What is this thing?” the captain said.
As their ships touched, one crew member said, “We’re just seeing the tip of the iceberg.” The captain ordered him and a colleague to investigate, so this crew member would later regret saying this.
Coastguard searcher Brendan was worried. But he couldn’t let them down.
The view through the windows was dark, so they didn’t help much.
The boat’s top hatch opened, revealing a staircase. They were anxious because they couldn’t see the bottom.
Brendan took a torch from his pocket to light the way.
The ship’s interior was worse than it looked. “Who was the boat’s pilot? John said, confused.
Brendan told the others what he had found.
A creak was heard above the two men, and the top hatch closed. The captain and other crew members of the coastal boat were afraid.
They tried to ask about Brendan and John, but the hatch cut off the signal.
The two investigators were alone. The boat started to shake a lot after that.
As Brendan and John lay on the submarine floor, the boat started to shake.
It was the same vibration as before, but this time it went up.
Loud sounds came from above the submarine.
The two men jumped up and hid behind the console.
The hatch opened right after they hid. Three people came down and went to the locked door.
The men carried heavy items to the surface on their way up and down.
They saw that the ship’s upper section was open. They knew it was their chance to escape.
The two men climbed the ladder. There was no land; they were in the middle of the ocean. On top was a massive oil rig platform supported by four substantial floating pillars.
The oil platform was busy. Workers were lifting boxes, and machines were transporting cargo.
It was clear that no oil drilling was happening here. But what was this deck for?
Brendan saw an older man in his mid-sixties behind a big container. John said, “He must be the leader.”
Unlike the others, he was well-dressed. The three people from earlier put parcels in front of the older man’s feet.
After breaking the foil wrapping, they saw the leader take a lot of money from one of the bundles.
John and Brendan knew it was illegal when they saw this.
Brendan and John were stranded. They had to watch.
The leader signaled for something to be brought forward. Another package came from the back and was put next to the money.
The parcel was stuffed with a knife.
The two coastguards’ eyes got big because they knew what it was. They seized drugs as Coast Guards, and this was a powdered drug.
The amounts were different from what they were used to.
Brendan’s largest bust weighed about four pounds, but this stack was five times as significant. There was more in the back.
