The sad story of David Bromstad keeps getting worse

David Bromstad is one of the network's most popular stars. This friendly and enthusiastic star has appeared on some of the network's most popular shows, including "Color Splash," "My Lottery Dream Home," and "Design Star All-Stars." He seems to have a great life, but there are problems. But life hasn't been as easy as it may seem for the design TV star. One of the most challenging things that can happen is when a loved one gets sick. 2016 David Bromstad went through this when his father became very ill. In a Facebook post from August of that year, the TV star asked his friends and followers for support after his dad was hospitalized. Thankfully, Bromstad's dad survived his illness. Since then, the HGTV star has shared many photos with his dad, to whom he looks pretty close. In 2021, he called his dad "the greatest dad ever" on Instagram. David Bromstad has also had to deal with other health problems. In 2015, he wrote on Facebook about his friend Gregg Girard, who had suffered a stroke. This changed his life completely, and he needed a lot of care and rehabilitation to get better. David Bromstad also dealt with bullies when he was younger. The star talked about this a bit in an interview with Lavender in 2013, saying that his classmates bullied him after he moved cities, but he didn't know why. Today, though, Bromstad has turned that awful experience into something positive. He now uses his voice and money to help others who are dealing with bullies. In 2013, he donated $5,000 to Safe Schools South Florida, an organization that helps to create safe spaces for LGBTQ+ young people in Florida schools. David Bromstad had a hard time after his relationship with Jeffrey Glasko ended. They were together for at least 10 years before breaking up, and their relationship became tense publicly. InTouch Weekly reported that Glasko sued Bromstad, saying that Bromstad had not kept his promise to move out of the condo they had shared and that he had not divided up their shared belongings. The magazine also claimed that Glasko had accused Bromstad of drug use and hiring sex workers. However, a judge removed these allegations from the suit. Glasko then changed the lawsuit and filed similar allegations again, but the judge again chose to remove the allegations from the lawsuit. In August 2023, David Bromstad shared great news on Instagram about climbing the Norwegian mountain Reinebringen. He shared many amazing photos and videos of the climb, saying that reaching the top was more than just a physical achievement. In the caption, the TV star explained that he had been going through a difficult period for a few years prior. He didn't say precisely what it was, but he said that climbing the mountain made him feel like he was leaving that difficult time behind him. "Forgiving myself for past mistakes and regrets. Allowing these moments to pass has given me a deep sense of clarity. I'm now able to build a solid foundation! It feels good to be sober and live the life I was meant to live," he said.
