Scarlett Johansson has spoken very rarely about her short marriage to Ryan Reynolds

She said just four words about her feelings for her ex-husband, Ryan Reynolds, 12 years after they divorced. We invite you to think back to 2008. The pair got engaged four months before they got married, but they were only married for two years before announcing that they were separating and finalizing their divorce in 2011. Since then, both actors have got married again. The Green Lantern actor married Gossip Girl star Blake Lively in 2012, and Johansson married twice more, Romain Dauriac in 2014 and Saturday Night Live favorite Colin Jost in 2020. Despite their divorce being public knowledge, both Marvel stars have remained relatively tight-lipped about this old romance (at least in public) and don't tend to speak about it much. However, they did talk about it a bit when Johansson was on Gwyneth Paltrow's podcast in 2023. The Black Widow actress spoke about her past relationships in 2023. They talked about partners and marriage, and Paltrow said she couldn't believe Johansson used to be with the Deadpool star. She said, "Oh, right, because I forgot you were married to Ryan Reynolds!" Paltrow said before adding: "Goals!" Johansson then explained that their relationship was short-lived. "We weren't married very long, but we were when I first met you, for Iron Man or whatever," she said. Paltrow continued: "We love a good Ryan Reynolds in our house." Johansson agreed. "He's a good guy." The former couple released a joint statement about their separation: "After carefully thinking about it, we have decided to end our marriage. Reynolds married Blake Lively in September 2012. "We entered our relationship with love, and it's with love and kindness that we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated." One positive for Johansson is that she will not have to watch her husband get mashed potato eaten out of his butthole. That was something that Lively got to enjoy.
