Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have chosen to keep their children from the public eye. Archie, 6, and Lili, 3, are only seen by the public on rare occasions, including in the couple’s Netflix documentary.

On Mother’s Day (11 May), the Duchess was photographed holding her children. The photo is thought to have been taken in the garden of their expensive Montecito home.

“Happy Mother’s Day! May you find joy and balance in your endeavours,” she wrote with the picture. To these two gems—who still try to climb ‘mama mountain’, shower me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure—being your mom is the best thing in my life.”

She concluded her post with the following message: “I love you more than all the stars in the sky, all the raindrops, and all the salt on French fries in the world.”

The children’s faces were not shown, but the photo led to a new theory and many comments.

It is interesting to note that Archie’s big toe was a particular focus of attention. Some people thought the Duchess might have used a computer to enhance its appearance.

One user shared the photo again on X and wrote, “Could I ask whether we are all ignoring Archie’s toe?”

Another asked, “I’m sorry to interrupt, but I’d like to ask a serious question… Might I enquire whether this is due to the editing of the picture, or whether there is some issue with his toe?”

Some people also commented on Archie’s toe and Lili’s hair colour, which doesn’t appear red in the photo. This led to speculation about the authenticity of Meghan Markle’s Mother’s Day photo.

Archie’s digital big toe appears somewhat unusual. “It is evident that Lili’s hair colour and height are distinct, and her hairstyle is also different. However, I was left wondering about the alterations made to the image, particularly the appearance of the big toe.
