When Patrick was asked to investigate rumors about a mysterious underwater sinkhole, he was certain he’d only encountered another legend. But once he saw the place with his own eyes, it became clear the stories were far too weak compared to reality. The enormous opening, which extended deep underwater, seemed almost artificial and inspired genuine fear. From that moment, Patrick knew he had to find out what lurked at the bottom.

Despite his team’s warnings, he decided to undertake the dangerous dive. With every meter, the tunnel became narrower and darker, and the water pressure increased. His anxiety grew, but curiosity overcame his fear, and Patrick continued to move forward, into a place no one had ever been before.

Soon, the situation became critical—his air supply was rapidly running low. Realizing he might not reach the surface, Patrick panicked. It was then that he noticed a narrow side passage that could be his only chance for salvation.

After passing through the cramped tunnel, the explorer emerged into a hidden cave with an air pocket. An icy expanse opened up before him, seemingly forgotten by time. Fires, footprints, and other signs of human presence hinted that ancient inhabitants had once lived here.

Exploring the cave further, Patrick came across a strange ice wall. A dark silhouette, quite unlike a natural formation, was visible through the thick ice. He tried to break the ice, but quickly realized he couldn’t do it alone.

Returning home, Patrick could never forget what he’d seen. Some time later, he assembled a new expedition, hired assistants, and brought specialized equipment. Severe snowstorms hampered the search, but the team eventually discovered a hidden entrance beneath a layer of snow.

When the ice finally broke, an incredible discovery awaited the explorers. Hidden behind the wall was not a mysterious creature, but ancient rock paintings. The stones depicted hunting scenes, people around a fire, and life from ancient times. This discovery was a real sensation and proved that human settlements existed in these places thousands of years ago.
