Who needs a babysitter when you’ve got a dog nanny? In a video posted by the Telegraph, a Labrador named Champ shows he takes his role as “watchdog” to heart – assuming that by “watchdog” what his human owners really wanted was a childcare expert.

The tender pup uses his nose to wrap a sleeping newborn up in her soft covers, making sure that every inch of precious baby skin is swaddled in the blanket. Once the dog decides his work is sufficient, he plops down just feet away from the baby to keep a careful eye on the newborn.

Does anyone else see major motion picture potential here? There’s already been The Nanny, The Nanny Diaries and Nanny McPhee. The Dog Nanny is inevitable.
