The Rameshwaram Cafe, a popular eatery in Kundalahalli, was the site of a low-intensity bomb blast that injured at least ten people at around 12:30 pm. An investigation into the explosion is ongoing. It had emerged that Nagaraj, the cafe’s founder, was overseeing catering duties for the high-profile wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat when the blast occurred.

Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya spoke with the restaurant’s founder, who confirmed that a customer left a bag behind, causing the blast. This refutes claims of a cylinder explosion. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that an investigation is underway to determine the cause and nature of the blast at the Rameshwaram Cafe.

He emphasized the importance of not politicizing the incident and called for everyone’s cooperation. He also stated that strict action would be taken against those responsible. Tejasvi Surya of the BJP expressed his concerns on social media and demanded answers from the Siddaramaiah government. He pointed out that it was a blast, not a cylinder explosion. Additionally, he spoke with Sri Nagaraj, the founder of Rameshwaram Café, about the incident.

According to Surya’s tweet, the blast occurred due to a bag left by a customer, not a cylinder explosion. An employee was injured in the incident.   Bengaluru residents are demanding clear answers from CM @siddaramaiah.

The Bengaluru police have made progress in identifying the suspect behind the blast with the help of CCTV footage. The footage shows a suspect dressed in denim and a grey shirt carrying a plate of idli. The individual was seen carrying a bag. It was initially believed to contain an improvised explosive device (IED). However, investigators later determined that the IED was concealed in another bag left behind by the suspect.

A case has been registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosive Substances Act regarding the incident. According to Divya Raghavendra Rao, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Rameshwaram Cafe, the blast occurred.
