June is a great month to celebrate diversity and inclusion, primarily through the lens of interracial celebrity couples. The future of relationships will get more diverse. Here are some of our favorite interracial celebrity couples.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

This couple is real about parenting and shares funny things on social media. But their love story began.

They met in 2007 while shooting a music video. They kept their relationship casual until getting engaged in 2011. They have four kids. Teigen calls them “monsters.”

Legend says their interracial relationship is a blessing.

George Lucas and Mellody Hobson

This couple knows film. Lucas, known for Star Wars and Indiana Jones, started dating Mellody Hobson in 2006. She is president of Ariel Investments and chair of DreamWorks Animation.

They have one daughter, born via surrogacy. The two seem stronger together, even though they are 25 years apart in age.

The two founded the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, which focuses on diversity in comic art, filmmaking, and narratives.

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian

Tennis player Serena Williams met Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit, on a Roman holiday in 2015.

Their “Beauty and the Beast” wedding was a star-studded affair with Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Eva Longoria in attendance.

“There’s a big difference between white and black people,” Williams told Essence. “He always hears about the injustices that wouldn’t happen if I were White. Interesting. “I never thought I’d marry a white guy either. Love is color-blind.”

Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher

Actor Eddie Murphy and model Paige Butcher have been engaged since 2012. The actor has ten children, two with Butcher, but he has only been married once. Their blended family is very diverse in age. His oldest is in his early 30s, while his youngest is still a toddler. Butcher is 18 years younger than Murphy, but they match perfectly. Murphy has always talked about race in his comedy, even when others told him not to.

Murphy told W magazine, “Sometimes the best advice is just bad advice you have to prove wrong.”

Wesley Snipes and Nakyung Park

Actor Wesley Snipes dated Korean painter Nakyung Park in the late 1990s. The two keep their personal life private as they raise their four children.

Snipes hasn’t been in many movies lately because of tax problems. His wife has always supported him.

Snipes was known for his role in the “Blade” series and acted in many films in the 1990s. Some say he peaked too early, but he also showed Black actors’ real struggles in Hollywood.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

This interracial couple is well known. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been in the spotlight since they met in 2016.

Their 2018 wedding and the birth of their son the following year made them one of the most talked-about biracial celebrity couples.

When the couple first started dating, Prince Harry wrote a statement from Kensington Palace saying the press coverage of Meghan and her mixed race was wrong.

Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hashian

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a wrestler, football player, and actor. He married Lauren Hashian in 2019 and has two children. Johnson is Black and Samoan. He has tattoos on his arms to honor his Samoan heritage. He identifies with both races equally. When someone asked him what race he was “booked as” when he wrestled, he said this on Twitter.

Matt Damon and Luciana Bozan Barroso

Matt met his wife in a bar. Luciana Bozan Barroso was bartending when the actor asked her out. He was filming Stuck on You in Miami, and they’ve been together ever since.

They’re an example of a celebrity finding love outside Hollywood. Barroso had a daughter, whom Damon now considers his own. They married in 2005 and have had three more children.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were an interracial couple before divorcing in 2021.

Their grand romantic gestures were dreams. On Valentine’s Day, West surprised Kardashian with a live performance by Kenny G and roses. West wasn’t Kardashian’s first interracial relationship. It was Michael Jackson’s nephew, TJ, who got that title. That first romance taught her a lot about race.

Morgan Freeman and Marcia Gay Harden

Morgan Freeman and Marcia Gay Harden attended the CBS Summer Soiree, and the former co-stars shared a steamy kiss on the red carpet. Morgan and Marcia, who starred together in the 2009 comedy The Maiden Heist, stayed close while posing for photos and displaying their PDA. For what it’s worth, both stars are currently single, but this could also just be their friendly way of saying hello.
