Timmy is twelve years old but looks younger because he is small. He wants to be a scientist when he grows up. He is quiet and shy. He likes to read books about science and technology in the library. Timmy lives with his parents at home. They are friendly, but they are always busy with work.
Timmy found school challenging. His small size made him an easy target for bullies, and he often felt invisible among his classmates.
His teachers recognized his potential, but Timmy longed for acceptance and companionship. He just wanted people to see him for who he was.
Jake and his friends teased and bullied Timmy every chance they got. Timmy tried to be strong, but it was tough. In the end, he couldn’t take it anymore. Timmy liked to go to the city library. He spent hours reading about the latest scientific discoveries, absorbed in the universe’s wonders. The quiet of the library made him feel at home. Timmy’s stomach growled as the afternoon sun began to set, reminding him that he hadn’t eaten since breakfast.
He decided to treat himself to his favorite meal at Burger King.
Timmy walked into Burger King, the familiar smell of burgers and fries making his mouth water. He ordered a burger, fries, and a milkshake and found a quiet corner to enjoy his meal. Just as Timmy was tucking into his burger, the door swung open, and Jake and his group of friends walked in. Timmy felt worried.
Jake and his friends stood before Timmy’s table, and Timmy felt very scared. Jake asked, “What are you doing here alone, Tiny Tim?”Timmy tried to stay calm. “I’m just having lunch,” he said. Another bully said, “You look like you need some company.” He knocked over Timmy’s milkshake, which spilled over the table.
Timmy tried to stand up and leave, but Jake and his friends wouldn’t let him. “Where do you think you’re going, Tiny Tim?” Jake jeered, pushing him back into the booth. Timmy looked down at the library books on the floor. What had he done to deserve this? He just wanted to be left alone.
The bullies didn’t know that someone was watching them. Sam was like a guardian angel for a young boy in a difficult situation. Burger King was usually a place where people go for fast food and to chat, but that day, it was full of bullies. The leader of the bullies went outside for a minute. Sam smiled because he could talk to the bully on his own.

The bully took a moment to himself, leaning against the wall, looking relaxed and tense. Sam took a deep breath and approached the bully. His steps were slow, and he looked calm.
“Hey,” Sam began, his voice even and calm. “Can we chat for a minute?”He didn’t know what to expect but hoped for the best.
The bully, surprised, nodded slowly.
“Picking on someone like that… it’s not right.”He watched as the boy thought about what he had said. Now, he just waited to see how he’d react.
“You’re better than this,” Sam said, sounding disappointed.
“You have so much potential, so much strength. But real strength? It’s helping others up, not pushing them down.” The bully’s eyes dropped, his confrontational stance deflating.
“I… I didn’t think…” he started, his voice barely a whisper. He seemed to understand slowly what he was doing. But would it stick?
When it looked like things couldn’t get any worse, a big man watching from a nearby booth got up. His name was Sam Jones, and he was about to stop the bullying for good.”Enough!” Sam’s deep voice boomed, and everyone looked at him. He walked over to the group, and the bullies stepped back because he was so big.
“Leave him alone,” Sam said firmly, his eyes showing anger.”Now!”

Timmy was amazed. Someone was finally helping him. He looked at the big man with adoration and admiration. The bullies had been defeated, at least for now, and Timmy was safe. He picked up his books from the floor. His day was already ruined, though. When Timmy got home, he told his parents what had happened. They were both proud and concerned. “We’re glad you’re okay,” his mother said, hugging him tightly.” And it’s good to know there are people out there who will stand up for what’s right,” his father added. Timmy felt their love and support, which made him want to keep going. With a new sense of confidence, Timmy focused on what he was good at. He threw himself into his studies and science projects, using them to show how clever and creative he was. He also started talking to his classmates more, slowly making friends, and getting their support.
