Kira Cousins, who misled her family and friends into believing she was a mother, later admitted her mistake and apologized for the pain they caused. The 22-year-old woman admitted she "went too far." She had previously convinced others she was pregnant and then announced the birth of a daughter named Bonnie-Lee Joyce. However, the "baby" turned out to be a realistic reborn doll, something no one close to her even suspected. In one Instagram post, which has since been deleted, Kira wrote, "I screwed up," trying to explain why she had resorted to such an unusual deception to create the image of a happy young mother. The scale of what happened is staggering: for nine months, the woman faked a pregnancy with a fake belly, regularly sharing videos and photos on social media showing the "baby moving," and even posting footage from a gender reveal party with pink decorations. Reportedly, neither family nor friends suspected anything. She was even congratulated on the upcoming addition and given expensive gifts, including a stroller worth around £1,000. Even her boyfriend, believed to be the baby's father, was unaware of the truth. Kira later claimed to have given birth to a girl weighing just over two kilograms, claiming the baby had heart problems. However, suspicions began to arise when loved ones noticed the "baby" was silent, and Kira herself refused to allow anyone to hold her, citing medical reasons. Eventually, the woman admitted that her actions had gone too far and attempted to explain her motives.
