Fubara-Wike Crisis: PDP Governors Voice Their Stance

The governors affiliated with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) have articulated a definitive stance on the protracted political crisis between Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. Furthermore, the Governors expressed discontent with the country's prevailing circumstances and urged Nigerians to refrain from engaging in acts of anarchy. Furthermore, the communiqué stated that the 16 years of remarkable growth and development under the PDP-led Federal Government, during which the country experienced single-digit inflation, the establishment of robust anti-corruption institutions, and a notable improvement in the standard of living for all Nigerians, has been undermined during the tenure of the APC-led Federal Government. In these challenging times, the Forum seeks to inspire the Nigerian populace with a vision of a return to a previous era of economic stability and prosperity. In this context, the meeting expressed appreciation for the innovative approaches to governance demonstrated by Governors of PDP-controlled states, particularly in infrastructure, education, health, women and youth initiatives, and the timely delivery of developmental projects across the country.
