Jerry Eze, the founder and president of Streams of Joy International, has responded to claims that a miracle performed at a recent conference in the UK was staged.
The event, part of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration (NSSPD) series, saw an 8-year-old girl reportedly healed from cerebral palsy, which has sparked both praise and skepticism online.
The girl, who had previously used a wheelchair, was said to have walked in a dramatic healing that quickly became a viral topic, with social media divided.
While many were happy to celebrate the apparent miracle, a wave of criticism followed. People accused Eze of orchestrating the event for publicity and questioned why similar miracles were not performed for sick Nigerians back home.
In a sermon to his congregation, the 41-year-old clergyman made it clear that he would not get involved in the controversy.
Listen, NSSPD members, you’ll never see this man respond to anyone. “I don’t have the time for that,” Eze said, dismissing the accusations.
He made it clear that his focus is on his ministry. He said, “There are more important things to do for God.” Take a look at this so-called miracle. It’s not true. She wasn’t even in a wheelchair. Take a look at the parents.
Eze’s Streams of Joy International, which started in Abia State in 2013, has since grown to over 13 branches worldwide and attracts large crowds in Nigeria and abroad.
Despite the ongoing debate, Eze is still going strong. He continues with his spiritual work and connects with his growing global audience.
